Brenda Starks Rohrer, age 70, of Stuart, Virginia, passed away Friday, May 1, 2015, at her home with her loving family, after a long battle with cancer.

Born March 3, 1945, at Droop, she was a daughter of the late Wilson and Neva Starks.

In her retirement, Brenda enjoyed painting, sewing, crafts, gardening, carpentry and especially traveling. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Drew Davis.

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Rohrer; two daughters, Cindy Griffin, and husband, Greg, of Stewarttown, Pennsylvania, and Dawn Davis, of Charlotte, North Carolina; a son, Ken Rohrer, and wife, Sandy, of Cantonsville, Maryland; 12 grandchildren, Josh, Matt, Julia, Julen, Chloe, Scott, Natalie, Heather, Jack, Andrew, Joey and Nathan; and two great-grandchildren, Rowan and Jordi.

Funeral service is Saturday, May 9, at noon at the Patrick Springs Christian Church in Virginia.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, May 10, at 2 p.m. at the Whiting Cemetery on Droop Mountain.
