Betty May Rosa, a longtime resident of Hansen, Idaho, was called home to Heaven Friday, August 15, 2014, after a brave battle with heart failure at a far too early age of 61.
Born July 8, 1953, she was the seventh of 12 children born to Donald and Lennie Friel.
Betty lived in Marlinton and then moved to Hansen, Idaho. She was a graduate of Hansen High School. She spent most of her life working as a care provider for several agencies and individuals. Most recently, she worked in the area of homeopathic and alternative medicines.
Anyone who knew Betty knew she loved nothing more than spending time with her family. She was always the first one to lend a hand and the last to let anyone down. She was always there when you needed her, no matter what.
She was an important part in the lives of her children, grandchildren, brothers, sisters and their extended families.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 18 years, Rickie Lynn Rosa.
She is survived by her three children, Brian Rosa, husband of Kristen, father of Joshua, Kimberly, Megan, Lily and Zoe; Jennifer Assel, mother of Robert and Dominic; and Robin Winkle, wife of Rory, mother of Greyson and Jaxon.
Mom, you are going to be missed terribly, but don’t worry about us. You were such an amazing woman, mother, Nana and friend. We have all learned from your amazing example. We love you! You will always be in our hearts.
Funeral service was August 19 at Paul Congregation Church in Paul, Idaho. Interment was in Paul Cemetery.
