Betty Lovelace

Betty Jo Lovelace, 89, of Dunmore, passed away Tuesday, July 6, 2021, at Pocahontas Center.

Born August 2, 1931, in Bartow, she was a daughter of the late Benjamin Luther and Genevie Zula Rexrode Hoover.

Betty was a homemaker, a member of Dunmore United Methodist Church, Dunmore Women’s Club, and a member of the Hilltoppers.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, June Lovelace; brother, Harry L. Hoover; sisters, Bonnie Cogar, Bertha “Fitch” Plyer, Thelma Jean Cover, Maxine Hoover, Hilda May Hoover and Nancy Carol Hoover.

Betty is survived by her son, Chester Lovelace, and wife, Sally, of Bartow; granddaughter, Jessica Lynn Lovelace, of Arbovale; sisters, Violet “Tommie” Ryder, Barbara “Suzie” Murphy, both of Boyer, and Patricia “Pat” Hiner, of Durbin; brothers-in-law, Bill Love-ace, of Dunmore, and Leon Lovelace, of Ronceverte; and a special friend, Mary Louise Barnisky.

Funeral service was held Saturday, July 10, 2021, at Dunmore United Methodist Church with Rev. David Rittenhouse officiating. Burial was in the Arbovale Annex Cemetery.
