Betty Jeanne Gragg, age 78, of Painesville Township, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, January 29, 2014, at Kindred Transitional Care – LakeMed.

Born October 7, 1935, at Frank, she was a daughter of the late Robert L. and Lena Spencer Wagner. She resided in Frank until the age of 17 when she moved to Painesville, Ohio.

Jeanne graduated from Riverside High School in 1954 and was a 50 year member of Beta Sigma Phi sorority. She retired from the City of Painesville Parks and Recreation after 18 years of service. Prior to that she worked for Drs. Colopy, Bringardner and Hanahan OB/GYN and Associates in Painesville, Ohio.

She enjoyed traveling with her husband, Dale, whom she married September 4, 1954, at Painesville Church of the Nazarene, and enjoyed attending family events as well as dinner with “the gang.”

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Peggy Collins; and brother, Samuel “Bob” Wagner.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sons, Allen Gragg, of Painesville, Ohio, Randy Gragg, and wife, Jennifer, and Scott Gragg, and wife, Kerry, all of Atlanta, Georgia; grandchildren, Colleen Paugh, Heather Mae, Spencer Mae, Parker Mae, Elle Gragg, Dawson Gragg, Donovan Gragg and Dade Gragg; and great-grandchildren, Christian, Eva and Ryleigh.

Funeral service was February 4 at the First Church of Christ, 422 Mentor Avenue, Painesville, Ohio, with Rev. Thomas Purchase of the Painesville Church of the Nazarene officiating. Interment was in Perry Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Hospice Western Reserve, 17876 St. Clair Avenue, Cleveland, OH 44110 or the American Cancer Society, 5555 Frantz Road, Dublin, OH 43017.
