Bernice Lucabaugh, age 68, of Hillsboro, passed away Friday, September 1, 2017, at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.
Born September 12, 1948, at Lobelia, she was a daughter of the late Ezra and L. Madeline Holmes Walker.
Bernice was of the Methodist faith. She worked as an inspector for Berg Electronics and at Denmar Hospital in the kitchen and housekeeping.
She was a loving, sweet and generous woman who would give you the shirt off her back. One of Bernice’s favorite things to do was take pictures. She also enjoyed relaxing in her living room, watching moves and eating her favorite snack – popcorn. She loved gardening, cooking and so much more. Her favorite thing to do was spend time with her family. She loved her family more than anything, and adored her four loving grandchildren, who were often a handful, yet, she loved them unconditionally.
Bernice will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She’s now free from all suffering and pain and can go rejoin her family in Heaven.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Clifford Lucabaugh; three sisters, Betty Walker, Mildred Brown and Alma Heyne; and a brother, Austin “Pat” Walker.
