Barbara Inez Woods, age 79, of Marlinton, departed this world Wednesday, July 25, 2018.
Born at home in Burr Valley, she was the eldest daughter of the late Summers J. and Opal E. Crigger Burr.
Barbara was a graduate of Marlinton High School and attended Concord College in Athens. She and her husband, Edgie, owned and operated Woods Produce Market until their retirement in 2002.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edgie J. Woods.
She is survived by her daughters, Sherri Lynn Bennett and Helen Grace Lowe; a sister, Linda Burr Daniel, and husband, Bill; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; a niece and a nephew.
Graveside service was held July 27 in the Burr Family Cemetery in Burr Valley with Rev. Norman Alderman officiating.
