Enjoy some “Home Grown” family fun at the First Friday event, August 2, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Discovery Junction in Marlinton.

The Pocahontas County Farmers Market will be on site, with a taste of Pocahontas County near the peak of the season.
Huntersville First Baptist Church will offer face painting as well as a backpack giveaway.
As always, many local businesses and organizations will join in the festivities, providing activities for all ages.
