The first Cass Appalachian Heritage Day was held last Saturday at the Cass Company Store. West Virginia artisans and historians shared their knowledge with visitors. Other participants at the event were: potter Cynthia Gurreri, knitter and basket weaver Cheryl Beverage, quilter Linda Adams, Fort Warwick owner and historian Bob Sheets, maple syrup maker Josh Shinaberry, crocheter Veronica Swink and Appalachian storyteller Jo Ann Dadisman.
