Ann Lorraine Jerome, 62, of North Fork, passed away July 27, 2020, surrounded by her loved ones.

Born August 13, 1957, in Washington, D.C., she was a daughter of the late James and Joyce Ward.

Ann was a faithful Christian woman, a loving mother and grandmother, a private homecare aide, and was devoted to helping her community and neighbors both near and far.

Ann lived most of her adult life where she felt most at home, in Pocahontas County. W.Va.

Before going to be with the Lord, Ann found comfort in the warmth of the sun on her skin, the sound of birds in the morning, crickets in the evening, and watching deer at dusk. She loved spending time crafting, getting creative with home projects, and everything DIY. She enjoyed a cup of hot tea, fresh baked goods, home-cooked meals, gardening, family, holidays, and all the simple joys in life.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Stephen Ward.

Ann is survived by her sister, Mary “Linda” Berk-heimer; one son, Michael Jerome, and wife, Destiny, of Wilson, North Carolina; four daughters: Elissa Jerome, of Washington, D.C., Madeline Nelson, and husband, Robert, of Beaver Creek, Gloria Jerome, of Frederick, Maryland, and Rebecca Jerome, of Jacksonville, Florida; and five grandchildren, Aria and Raegan Nelson, and Gabriella, Alex- andria and Anthony Jerome.

Ann’s grace, kindness and beautiful spirit will be missed by her family, friends and community.

Funeral service will be held graveside at Arbovale Cemetery Wednesday, July 29, at 10 a.m.

Due to Covid-19, the family requests all attendees to wear face masks.
