Allie “Elizabeth” McPaters, 87, of Huntersville, passed away Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at Pocahontas Center in Marlinton.

Born January 28, 1937, at Woodrow, she was a daughter of the late Kenny and Mattie Boblett Burgess.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Teddy Blain McPaters; infant sister, Grenta Burgess; and two brothers, Edgar Burgess and Wallace Burgess.
Elizabeth was of the Methodist Faith, and a bookkeeper/co-owner of Brills Exxon Service Center.

She is survived by her son, Dave McPaters; daughter, Sarah McPaters Gibson, and husband, Duane, all of Huntersville; two granddaughters, Amanda Gibson McNair, and husband, Preston, of Charleston, and Kayla Gibson, of Cheyenne Wyoming; sisters, Nancy Hammons, of Marlinton, and Carol Hanna, of Long Island, New York; and many nieces and nephews
Funeral service was held Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at Lantz Funeral Home in Buckeye with Pastor Sam Felton officiating.

Burial was in Mountain View Cemetery.
