Alice Marie Grimes Gordon Cain, age 81, of Buckeye, died Sunday, October 5, 2014, at her home.
Born June 22, 1933, at Frost, she was a daughter of the late Hubert and Verna Fertig Grimes.
Marie was a homemaker and farmer.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruby Sprouse and Creola McCarty; and a brother, Carl Grimes.
She is survived by her sons, Ronald G. Gordon, and wife, Kathy, and Clarence W. Gordon, and wife, Debbie, all of Buckeye; a sister, Naomi Ryder, and husband, Daniel, of Frost; a brother, Gary Grimes, of Covington, Virginia; sisters-in-law, Nellie Moore and Susie Friel; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral service is October 8, at 1 p.m. at VanReenen Funeral Home with Pastor David Rittenhouse officiating. Interment will be in Gibson Cemetery at Slaty Fork.
