Aileen Vass

Aileen McCarty Shelton Vass, age 75, of Lewisburg, passed away Sunday, January 19, 2020, at Peyton Hospice House in Fairlea.

Born December 15, 1944 at Slaty Fork, she was a daughter of the late James Dorman and Evva Belle Hannah Shelton.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Allen Vass; and sisters, Regina Rhea, and twin, Allie Cook.

She is survived by her sons, Ed Vass, Jr., and wife, Linda, of Ronceverte, Jamie Vass, and wife, Robyn, of Woodbridge, Virginia, and Doug Vass, and wife, Jill, of Annandale, Virginia; and grandchildren, Emma Vass, Lucy Vass and Lucas Vass.

Family will receive friends Saturday, January 25, 5 to 7 p.m. at Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home in Lewisburg.

Funeral service will be Sunday, January 26, 2 p.m. at Wayside Church with Pastor James Wentz officiating. Burial will follow at the Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Peyton Hospice House, 1265 Maplewood Avenue, Lewisburg, WV 24901.
