A Flash Flood Watch is in effect for Pocahontas and surrounding counties through late tonight.
Rounds of showers and thunderstorms are expected into tonight.
In the muggy air, any shower could contain a downpour. The soil in many areas is wet from previous rain. If repetitive or prolonged showers occur, flash flooding along small streams is possible. Rain amounts around 2 inches within a few hours would be a concern.
