Charles R. “Chuck” Kelley, age 79, of Lancaster, passed away Sunday, May 5, 2024, at Pickering House.
Born September 20, 1944, in Marlinton, he was a son of the late Howard T. Kelley and Sara Jane Byrd Kelley.
Chuck retired from Anchor Hocking as a furnace operator after 36 years of service. He enjoyed working in his garden and considered himself a bean connoisseur. Chuck loved spending time with his beloved family, especially his great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann Kelley; siblings, Junior Paugh Kelley, Claybron Kelley, Howard James Kelley, Albert Kelley, Robert Kelley, Richard Lawrence Kelley, Helen Snyder, Dorothy Loudermilk, Emma Jane Hodges, Shirley Jones and Mary Cathryn Salisbury.
He is survived by his daughters, Lisa (Todd) Joos and Michelle Householder; son, Michael R. (Jennifer Frohnapfel) Kelley; two granddaughters; four great-grandchildren; half-brother, George Lee Kelley, of Tennessee; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held Friday, May 10, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Sheridan Funeral Home with burial to follow in St. Mary Cemetery.
