Dorothy Ann Carpenter, 69, of Dunmore, passed away Saturday, March 4, 2024, at her home.
Born April 27, 1954, in Marion County, Indiana, she was a daughter of the late Lucian and Louise Settle Jones.
Dorothy was a retired Correctional Officer for the State of Virginia.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Brenda Gibbons.
She is survived by her husband, Ronald Roy Carpenter; daughter, Doria Rae Coy, and husband, Chris, of Dunmore; son, Raymond Aaron Jones, and wife, Robin, of San Antonio, Texas; grandchildren, James Andrew Coy, Joseph Alexander Coy, Jesse Allen Coy and Wyatt Lucian Jones; great-grandchildren, Auora, Saige, Remington, Grayson, Bella and Ayla; sisters, Marie Chaistain, of Florida, Lindia Olinger, of Tennessee, and Darlene McGehee, of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.
In keeping with her wishes, the body will be cremated.
