Selma Ware

Selma “Betty” Ware, age 82, of Geneva, Ohio, passed away Monday, July 27, 2015, at her home.

Born May 19, 1933, she was a daughter of the late Flora Sheets Grogg and Forrest Grogg.

Betty was a 1951 graduate of Green Bank High School and a graduate of C&O Hospital Nursing School. She was a member of the Peoples Church in Geneva, Ohio. She enjoyed traveling, quilting and gardening.

She married Robert N. Ware July 31, 1954, in Lewisburg.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Ware; sons, Scott Ware and Jeffrey N. Ware; brothers, Guy Grogg, Emil Grogg, Merle Grogg, Forrest Grogg, Marvin David Grogg and Jimmy Grogg; and sisters, Martha Foster, Dorotha Shrader and Carrie Grogg.

She is survived by a son, Gregory Ware, and wife, Corinne, of Austinburg, Ohio; a daughter, Dennise Cook, and husband, Randy, of Austinburg, Ohio; brothers, Ray Grogg, of Sarasota, Florida, and Donald Grogg, of Arbovale; and a sister, Ruth Ann Mullenax, of Arbovale.

Family will receive friends Thursday, July 30, from 5 to 8 p.m. at The Behm Family Funeral Home in Geneva, Ohio. Funeral service is Friday, July 31, 11 a.m. at The Behm Family Funeral Home with Pastor Alexander Zell of the Peoples Church officiating. Final resting will be in Greenlawn Memory Gardens in Kingsville, Ohio.

Memorials may be made to The Peoples Church Scholarship Fund, 300 S. Ridge East, Geneva, OH 44041.
