The markets are open – rain or shine – and have three great locations throughout the county. Green Bank Market, in the parking lot of Henry’s Quick Stop, Wednesdays, 3 to 6 p.m. Linwood Market, in the parking lot of the Linwood Library at the base of Snowshoe Mountain, every Friday, 3:30 to 6 p.m. Marlinton Market, near the First Avenue Mini Park, Saturdays, 8 a.m. to noon.
Pioneer Days Saturday, July 11, the Marlinton Farmers Market will be located on Fourth Avenue behind the depot, and Erin Lore will be there doing face painting.
The market is getting more and more colorful with a nice selection of yellow squash, green bell peppers, Hungarian hot wax peppers, banana peppers, cucumbers, green onions, beets, herbs, rainbow chard, cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, spinach, red and green romaine, black raspberries and strawberries.
Berry season is just beginning. Come pick up some black raspberries for your Fourth of July celebrations. Whether you plan to make a pie or some jelly, we have the berries.
If you plan to grill this holiday weekend, we have just what you need. Our vendors have plenty of local produce, beef, chicken and seafood available.

The Farmers Market has a wide variety of vendors, offering eggs, baked goods, artisan breads, pepperoni rolls, specialty cookies, granola, freshly ground flours, molasses, lard, vanilla extracts, maple syrup, jams, jellies, charcoal, flowers, unique fabrics, quilts, potato bakers, sewing accessories, specialty yarns, hand-knitted apparel, soaps, jewelry, flower arrangements, nature paintings and colorful tie dyes.
Stop by any of our three locations and pick up a keychain, PCFM cookbook, tote and T-shirt. Proceeds support the Farmers Market.
