It is so nice to have so many great things going on in the Town of Hillsboro. We had a wonderful Heritage Days Festival this past weekend. I’d like to thank all the people involved for making it better every year.
I would also like to thank all the sponsors for the Hillsboro Car Show. It gets bigger and better each year with more than 40 cars entered this year. Thanks to Harold Hill, Danny Blankenship, Jackie Moore and Keith “Squeak” Miller for all the hard work they put into organizing the show.
We’re so happy to have the Hillsboro Public House finally opened. It’s nice to have a local restaurant. The Dollar General is fully operational now. The Levels Depot has a café opened for breakfast and lunch.
The Lift Station Project has been completed and the Lagoon Project should be starting in the next few months. If all goes as planned, the old bank building should be demolished by the end of August.
We have several Amish families moving into the area who are traveling on our roads. Please be aware and slow down when you see their horses and buggies.
It’s summer and, with school out, lots of kids are riding bikes and playing.
Please keep them safe.
