In honor of Crime Victim Awareness Month, the Pocahontas County Prevention Coalition will host a Murder Mystery event Saturday, May 15, from noon until 2 p.m. at Discovery Junction.
The event will begin with a scenario and scenes acted out until 1:30 p.m.
Robbie Sipe will be the guest speaker before the big reveal from our creative team.
Several informative booths will be set up to provide the public with invaluable information about the numerous services available to our community.
Free Naloxone training will be conducted by Seneca Health Services.
Community members from various organizations, such as Pocahontas Family Resource Network and Pocahontas County Day Report, will take part in the mystery reenactment.
Everyone is invited to help solve a murder and enjoy community fellowship while learning about important services available in our area.
Be advised that this scenario may not be suitable for small children as there will be references to drug use, domestic violence and murder.
The first 75 people to turn in their analysis of the mystery will receive a goodie bag.
In case of rain, the event will be held at the Community Wellness Center gymnasium.
Discovery Junction is located on Third Avenue in Marlinton, beside the Opera House.
We hope to see you there.
