Raymond Blair Grimes, age 74, of Marlinton, died Friday, March 6, 2015, at CAMC Medical Clinic Inn in Charleston.
Born September 8, 1940, at Frost, he was a son of the late Raymond Anderson and Daphene Tennison Shue Grimes.
Blair retired from the West Virginia Department of Highways. He was a member of First Baptist Church Huntersville.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Ricky Blair Grimes; and two daughters, Connie Kay Grimes Boger and Terry Lynn Grimes.
He is survived by his wife, Pearl Mae Grimes; a daughter, Debra Diana Grimes Sutherland, of Flowery Branch, Georgia; step-son, Robert L. McCutcheon, of Fortville, Indiana; a sister, Naomi Lavonne Grimes McCray, of Millboro, Virginia; a brother, Emery Gilmer Grimes, of Marlinton; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral service was March 8 at VanReenen Funeral Home with Pastor Phillip Thompson officiating. Interment was in Mt. Zion Cemetery near Marlinton.
