WV 4-H Men’s
Basketball Day
All WV 4-H members, their families, and friends are invited to attend a WV 4-H Men’s Basketball Day at the WVU Coliseum in Morgantown Saturday, January 24, at 2 p.m. The cost is $30 per person and this includes a ticket to the WVU – TCU Men’s Game, a 4-H hoodie, and insurance. Registration deadline for this game is Monday, January 12. If you would like to attend, send your check made payable to the WV 4-H Alumni Association along with your sweatshirt size to the Pocahontas County Extension Office, 900-E 10th Avenue, Marlinton WV 24954 before the deadline. In the event of snow and you are unable to attend, there will be no snow date and no refunds will be made, but you will be sent your hoodie. Information will be available later about a WV 4-H Women’s Basketball Day in February that will also be held at WVU.

Winter Dinner Meeting
The Winter Educational Dinner Meeting will be held at the Marlinton Municipal Building Tuesday, January 13, at 6:30 p.m. Program presented by Aaron Helmick, of Little Brown Cow Dairy. The Helmick family operates Little Brown Cow Dairy, a grass-based dairy farm in Monroe County. The Helmicks operate their leased farm from a business perspective, making prduction decisions that must be economically viable. RSVP by January 9 at 304-799-4852. Cost of dinner – $4.
