John Wallace Burns Jr., 68, of Buckeye, passed away at his home Monday, July 20, 2020.
Born July 13, 1952 in Union, he was a son of the late John Wallace Sr. and Mary Lewis Persinger Burns.
John was a Baptist by faith, and a laborer for 30 years for Appalachian Aggregates.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Terry Lynn Miller; and a brother, Rodney Wayne Burns.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Norma Mansfield Burns; daughter, Staci Burns, and husband, Stacey Green, of Marlinton; son, Kody Burns, at home; granddaughter, Leanne Green, of Marlinton; two sisters, Darlene Clarkson, and husband, Kelvin, and Charlene Dunbar, and husband, Chris, all of Union; brothers, James Burns, and wife, Becky, and Carl Burns, and wife, Bonnie, all of Fort Springs; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be Sunday, July 26, 2020, at 1 p.m. at Lantz Funeral Home in Alderson with Pastor Gary Baker officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Vernon Cemetery in Fort Springs.
Visitation will be held on Sunday at Lantz Funeral Home in Alderson from 11a.m. to 1 p.m.
