Dorhal Dainwood Roach, age 90, of Boyer, passed away Wednesday, May 20, 2020, at his home.
Born July 7, 1929, in Rupert, he was a son of the late James Gaston and Gladys Simmons Roach.
Dorhal served four years in the Army during the Korean Conflict. He provided for his family as a Masonry Technician and Carpenter at Fort Belvoir Army Base in Virginia for 30 years until he retired in 1980. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and exploring.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Lance, Kenneth, Garland, Randolph (infant) and Don Roach; and sisters, June Tuck, Evelyn Thorpe, Phyllis Cuckler, Rose Ellen Thompson, Bonnie Leete and Gail Harper.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Shirley Lambert Roach, of Boyer; his children Darrell Roach, Travis Roach, (Michelle), all of Virginia, Tina Nicely, (John), and Kathy Mason, all of West Virginia, and Beth Baylor, (Hutch), of Pennsylvania; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; as well as two brothers, Steve Roach, of South Carolina, and Erick Roach, of Virginia.
In keeping with Dorhal’s wishes, the body will be cremated with no service held.
