Johnnie Patrick Sharp, age 65, of Marlinton, passed away Monday, September 1, 2014, at his home.
Born July 25, 1949, at Marlinton, he was a son of the late Milburn and Pearl Beverage Sharp. Johnnie was a self employed carpenter and an avid hunter.
He loved bluegrass music, four wheeling and antique cars. Johnnie was well loved by all and never met a stranger.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Carl Sharp; and two sisters, Eula Moore and Jennie Cutlip.
He is survived by his companion, Delores McLaughlin, of Marlinton; two daughters, Tammy Taylor, of Rock Hill, South Carolina, and Jennifer Williams, of Germantown, Maryland; three sons, Scott H. Sharp, of White Sulphur Springs, Jason P. Sharp, of Marlinton, and Travis M. Sharp, of Morgantown; 10 grandchildren; six sisters, Edna May Webb, Anna Lee Hannah, Dolly Grey McComb, and Nancy Carol Hager, all of Marlinton, Eva Jane Madron, of Dunmore, and Margaret Ellen Channell, of Elkins; and three brothers, Claude Sharp and Ray Sharp, both of Marlinton, and Ralph Sharp, of Dunmore.
In keeping with Johnnie’s wishes, the body was cremated and a private service will be held at a later date.
