Tournament
Marlinton won the Sectional Tournament at Hillsboro last Saturday night by winning over Green Bank 94 – 76. They won over Hillsboro Friday night 80 – 72.
Named to the All Tournament Team were: George Shears and Bob Sheets, of Green Bank. Lawrence Workman and Bill Hall, of Hillsboro, Gibby Sage, Phillip Cain, David McLaughlin and George Meadows, of Marlinton.
Most Outstanding Player: Gibby Sage, of Marlinton.
Best Foul Shooting, Gibby Sage, of Marlinton (82 percent).
Best Cheerleaders were Linda McCutcheon, of Green Bank; Charlotte Sharp, of Marlinton, and Judy Starks, of Hillsboro.

Mrs. Lee Sizemore is improving from a heart attack last week.
Mr. and Mrs. Andy Pritt and grandson, Leon, recently spent the weekend in Culpepper, Virginia, visiting his brothers, Matthew, Woodrow and Lee Pritt and families. Mrs. Lee Pritt had been a patient in University Hospital at Charlottesville for three weeks but has much improved and at home.

Mr. and Mrs. Donald Vandevender and son were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Galford this past Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Grady Doyle visited Mr. and Mrs. Frank Wilfong at Stony Bottom last weekend.
Mrs. Virgil Purkey was injured in an auto accident at Linwood, Saturday, and is a patient in the Pocahontas Memorial Hospital.
Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Doyle accompanied their son, Richard, to Webster Springs, Sunday enroute to Charleston, where he attends school.

Born to Mr. and Mrs. Teddie Kelley, of Cass, a daughter, Tammy Louise.
Born to Mr. and Mrs. Claude Simmons, of Richwood, a son, named Ronald Ray.
Born to A1-C and Mrs. Rocco R. Giordano, of Washington, D.C., a son.
DEATHS
Lee Queen, age 85, of Cass, worked for West Virginia Pulp and Paper Company, and retired from Mower Lumber Company; burial in the Wanless Cemetery on Back Mountain.
Clark Wilson McMillion, age 65, of Renick, an employee of the State Road Commission; burial in the Morningside Cemetery at Renick.
Charles Wilbur Moyers, age 83, of Hightown, Virginia; member of Pisgah Presbyterian Church and a farmer; burial in the Arbovale Cemetery.
Miss Audrey Dewsberry, age 53, of Arlington, Virginia, was buried in Mountain View Cemetery Friday morning, February 28. She was a friend and business associate of Miss Delia Bankhead.
