Dear Editor:
The Arbovale Cemetery Association would like to thank members of the Pocahontas Honor Corps for taking time this past Saturday, precisely at 12:00 noon, to lay Ceremonial Wreaths to Remember all military men and women, to Honor their sacrifices and to Teach our younger generation about the high cost of freedom.
According to this past Sunday’s Gazette-Mail, about 2,500 wreaths were laid in West Virginia to pay tribute to veterans in the annual wreath ceremony.
We are proud that our Arbovale Cemetery was the site of one of more than 1,400 locations across the nation where veterans were honored in this way.
We particularly express our appreciation to Commander Rick Wooddell for initiating and coordinating this annual event with Wreaths Across America Day.
Charles Sheets, President
