Louvene Perry, age 89, of Somerset, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, August 9, 2018, at her home, following a brief illness.
Born September 22, 1928, at Lobelia, she was a daughter of the late Lewis H. and Anna F. Morrison Dameron.
Louvene lived in California for many years, and always considered it home. She worked with her daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Larry, for many years in their restaurant, Larry’s Coffee Shop.
She will be greatly missed as she was such a good listener and so easy to talk to. She loved shopping and staying current with the latest fashions – her hair and makeup were always immaculate. She adored the cats and dogs that were her pets over the years. She especially loved helping with her grandchildren, whom she treasured. She collected owls and other figurines.
Louvene continued to love Pocahontas County her entire life, attending the Hill reunion whenever possible.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Terri Larson; grandson, Brian Cole; son-in-law, Larry Greenfield; two brothers, Hilbert Dameron and Dudley Dameron; and two sisters, Virginia D. Hodges and Paige Murphy.
She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Lou Perry; sons, Jim Browning and wife, Patti, of Columbus, Ohio, and Mark Browning, and wife, Wanda, of Lancaster, Pennsylvania; a daughter, Barbara Greenfield, of Anaheim, California; grandchildren, Matthew Browning, Lindsay Gunther, and husband, Stephen, Timothy Greenfield, and wife, Laura, Daniel Greenfield, and wife, Clare, Robert Browning, David Larson, James Larson and Kristen Hansen, and husband, Thomas; several great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews, including Jeff Dameron, of Renick, Susan Spencer, and husband, Alan, and Chloe Spencer, and husband, Mark, all of Sarahsville, Ohio, and Clayton Spencer, and wife, Linda, of Lewisburg.
Honoring Louvene’s wishes, no service was held.
