Vickie Carol Richardson-Ferrell, age 64, of Marlinton, passed away peacefully Good Friday, April 14, 2017, at her home, surrounded by her family.
Born March 1, 1953, in Marlinton, she was a daughter of the late Charles McElwee “Googie” and Elizabeth Sue Harper Richardson.
Vickie was a devoted Christian and a member of the Marlinton United Methodist Church. She was a registered nurse at St. Mary’s Hospital in Huntington, retiring after 23 years.
She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Terry Richardson.
She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Buddy Ferrell; a daughter, Grace White, and husband, Matt, of Marlinton; a son, Micheal Ferrell, and fiancée, Samantha Gray, of Lexington, Kentucky; two grandchildren, Richard Micheal White and Mackenzie Elizabeth White; and a special cousin, whom she considered a sister, Elizabeth Smith, of Romney.
In keeping with her wishes, the body was cremated.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, April 22, 2 p.m. at her residence.
