The Marlinton High School Annual staff sponsored a Sloppy Joe Dance, Saturday, September 24, in the high school gym. It was announced that a picture of the sloppiest couple attending the dance would be featured in the 1967 Marlin- tonian. The students met the challenge very ingeniously with some hilarious results.
The dance chaperones, Charles Edward McElwee and Mrs. Kerth W. Friel, Yearbook advisor, and Miss Janice Dunbrack, Co-editor of the Marlintonian, picked the lucky pair. They were Tom Dale and Donna Raye Dunbrack. The couple danced together following their selection.
Another highlight of the evening was the dancing of the limbo. Everyone agreed that they had a real swinging time.
