According to Magistrate Court records, the following individuals were either arrested or had activity in their cases.
Hope Leigh Ann May, 34, of Marlinton, appeared in court March 11 on a charge of brandishing deadly weapons, threatening or causing a breach of the peace. Bond was set at $2,000.
Roy W. Oscar, Jr., 36, of Marlinton, appeared in court March 14 on a charge of violation of a protective order, second offense. Bond was set at $2,000.
Gilberto Santana Rivera, 47, of Durbin, appeared in court March 11 on charges of domestic battery, reckless driving and no proof of a valid license. Bond was set at $2,000.
Amy Danette Widney, 39, of Cass, appeared in court March 8 on a charge of driving while license revoked for DUI. Bond was set at $1,000.
In Magistrate Cynthia Broce Kelley’s court:
James Currence, 63, of Huttonsville, pleaded no contest March 11 to a charge of exceeding creel limit on trout, other violations of code for trout fishing. He was assessed $225.25 in court costs and fines.
Nicole Ann Nordstrom, 33, of Marlinton, pleaded guilty March 8 to a charge of petit larceny. She was sentenced to 30 days suspended jail, one year Day Report, ordered to pay $595.97 in restitution and assessed $240.25 in court costs and fines.
In Magistrate Carrie Wilfong’s court:
James Edward Groves, 25, of Hillsboro, pleaded guilty March 14 to a charge of speeding. He was assessed $190.25 in court costs and fines.
