According to Magistrate Court records, the following individuals were either arrested or had activity in their cases.

Daniel Jordan Rivera, 24, of Marlinton, appeared in court February 5 on charges of wanton endangerment involving a firearm, unlawful methods of hunting – Sunday hours, two counts obstructing an officer, carrying a deadly weapon without license or other authorization, possession of a controlled substance, disorderly conduct and intoxication in public places. Bond was set at $20,000.

Christopher Patrick Stalnaker, 30, of Marlinton, appeared in court February 6 on a charge of harassment, repeatedly making credible threats against another. Bond was set at $1,000.

Clayton Joseph Westbrook, 28, of Greenville, South Carolina, appeared in court February 7 on a charge of driving under the influence with alcohol concentration in blood greater than .15. Bond was set at $1,000.

William Larry Arnett, age unavailable, of Bartow, appeared in court February 1 on charges of driving while license revoked for DUI and driving under the influence with alcohol concentration in blood less than .15. Bond was set at $1,000.

Brooke Nicole Daniels, 32, of Valley Head, appeared in court February 1 on a charge of petit larceny. Bond was set at $500.

Ray Grooms, 54, of Slaty Fork, appeared in court January 30 on a charge of driving under the influence with alcohol concentration in blood less than .15. Bond was set at $500.

In Magistrate Cynthia Broce-Kelley’s court:

Gregory Anthony Lester, 39, of Marlinton, pleaded guilty February 3 to a charge of failure to use safety belt. He was assessed a $25 fine.
