Test your forages
WVU Extension Forage Testing Meeting is set for Thursday, October 8, at 6 p.m. in the Marlinton Municipal Building
In the wake of another year that saw a lot of rainy days during peak hay making season it comes to our attention that producers may have a significant portion of their hay that has less nutritional value than they are accustomed to. So what should you do?
Test your forages.
WVU Extension Specialist Ed Rayburn will deliver a presentation about the importance of forage testing and how it will pay off over the winter. For more information or to sign-up, please call the WVU Extension Office at 304-799-4852.
‘Motion Commotion’
All 4-H members, their families and friends are invited to this year’s National 4-H Science Day Open House at the National Radio Astronomy Observatory’s Science Center in Green Bank Wednesday, October 7. Free pizza will be served at 5:30 p.m., followed by the “Motion Commotion” experiment from 6 to 8 p.m. Through this experiment, you will explore the science of motion – how things move through space and time. You will discover how human factors, such as reaction time, affect your own body’s motion and your ability to stay safe. For more information, email sheather@ nrao.edu or call the WVU Extension Office at 304-799-4852. Come join the fun.
