Educational Dinner Meeting
WVU Extension Service will host an educational dinner meeting Tuesday, October 8, beginning at 6:30 p.m. at the Marlinton Municipal Building. This meeting will feature our keynote speaker Agriculture Extension Agent Brian Wickline from Monroe County. Brian is a veteran extension agent with years of agriculture experience and knows the importance of soil fertility.
The importance of liming soil is often overlooked as we focus on adding synthetic fertilizers and other nutrients. The significance of proper pH as it relates to nutrient availability is key in a highly productive soil.
Brian will discuss the importance of soil pH and fertility as we head into fall, and it is a great time to develop a plan for future soil amendments, possible fall lime applications and improved soil fertility heading into 2025.
RSVP to the WVU Extension Office by calling 304-799-4852.
