Educational Dinner Meeting
WVU Extension will host an Education Dinner Meeting, Tuesday, February 11, at 6:30 p.m. in the Marlinton Municipal Building auditorium.
Guest speaker will be Dr. Paul Kinder. Dr. Kinder has experience in GIS and Remote Sensing, UAVs (drones), environmental and ecological restoration, natural resources planning and management, and social network analysis. He will address FAA requirements to be a licensed drone pilot, introduce these innovative technologies, and provide examples of using drones in animal monitoring, planning/conservation, invasive species identification/mapping, and eradication.
To attend the meeting, you must RSVP by calling the Extension office at 304-799-4852 by Friday February 7. For those who’d like dinner, there will be a $5 charge to help cover the cost.
