Edible Landscaping Gardening workshop
WVU Extension will host an Edible Landscaping Gardening workshop, Thursday, May 22, at 6 p.m. in the McClintic Library in Marlinton.
The workshop will feature new extension horticulture specialist Mira Bulatovic-Danilovich, who will discuss various gardening topics and issues and will focus on creating Edible Landscapes.
“With Edible Landscaping the main purpose is to combine beauty and utility by mixing ornamental and food plants,” Mira explained. “Or we can say that this is an integration of beauty and function with economic benefit. We are making our landscapes more interesting by adding that unexpected element by mixing edibles and ornamentals. The other benefit is that we are achieving control over what is sprayed –if anything – and how often. A new meaning to having healthy food. “
To sign up, call the WVU Extension Office at 304-799-4852.
