The National Weather Service in Charleston has issued a Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow.
The warning will be in effect from 9 a.m. Monday, February 16, to 8 a.m. Tuesday, February 17.
A Wind Chill Advisory remains in effect until 1 a.m. Monday.
The warning is for the mountains of Northern West Virginia.
Snow accumulations of 8 to 12 inches may be expected in parts of the warning area.
Snow will begin by late Monday morning, with the heaviest amount in the afternoon and early evening.
Temperatures will be 5 to 15 below zero tonight, and will rise into the teens on Monday.
