Wilda Taylor Ferrell, age 87, of Marlinton, formerly of Sissonville, died Saturday, December 26, 2015, at Pocahontas Center in Marlinton.
Born September 14, 1928, at Sissonville, she was a daughter of the late Corbett and Lessie Boggess Miller.
Wilda was a retired cook for the Kanawha County Board of Education.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Taylor; second husband, William Ferrell; two sons, Ervin Taylor and Melvin Taylor; a sister, Mildred Canter; four brothers, William “Dick” Miller, Oshel Miller, Marshell “Bossie” Miller and June Boggess; and a grandson, Don E. Morrison, II.
She is survived by her daughter, Nina Taylor Morrison, and husband, Don, of Marlinton; granddaughter, Angela Morrison Russell, and husband, Randall, of Marlinton; granddaughter-in-law, Cathy Hebb, of Marlinton; and great-grandchildren, Dustin Morrison, Michael Morrison, Landon Hebb and Haleena Hebb, all of Marlinton.
The family would like to thank Pocahontas Center and staff and Brenda Robinson for their loving care.
Graveside service will be held December 30, at 1 p.m. in the Miller Cemetery, Second Creek, in Sissonville with Arthur Morrison officiating. Arrangements are handled by VanReenen Funeral Home.
