Several people noticed that this year’s Pioneer Days Badge – in addition to being larger than normal – has the 58th Annual Pioneer Days on it.
Last year’s badge also had 58th Annual Pioneer Days on it.
So, what is the story?
To begin, there was no Pioneer Days celebration in 2020 due to COVID, but people wanted a badge so the committee obliged and had one produced.
Therefore, there have been 58 celebrations and 59 badges.
As for the repeat of the 58 annual – it was a printing fluke.
Once it was discovered, it was too late to change it without paying a hefty fee for a rush order.
So, consider this larger than normal – and second 58th Annual badge – to be a collector’s item.
