PLANS FOR DISCOVERY Junction have gone from paper to site preparation. The park was two years in the planning stage, and just a few months in fundraiser mode. Tuesday morning the US Forest Service had its equipment ready to roll and Phase I of the project began. Once completed, Discovery Junction will have an outdoor stage, splash pool, covered walkway for vendors such as the farmers market, picnic tables and more. S. Stewart photo
