Sue Ann Stadler, age 76, of Arbovale, formerly of Marlinton, passed away Wednesday, July 23, 2014, at Valentine Personal Care Center in Elkins after a long illness.
Born April 11, 1938, at Marlinton, she was a daughter of the late Allie Zebulon Jack and Carrie Belle Fridley.
Sue attended the Pine Grove Church of the Brethren, was a homemaker and a laborer for a candy factory.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William “Bill” Stadler; four sisters, Evelyn, Alice, Dorothy and Margaret; and seven brothers, Gilbert, Donald, Clarence, Elmer, LeRoy, Norman and James.
She is survived by three daughters, Donna Simonin, of Arbovale, Carrie Mahaffey, of Canton, Ohio, and Sue McKinney, of Canvas; three sons, Gary Carpenter, of New Carlisle, Ohio, David Buzzard, of Frost, and Louis Carpenter, of Kansas; a sister, Mary Jane Hiner, of Mountain Grove, Virginia; 22 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.
Family will receive friends Wednesday, July 30, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lantz Funeral Home in Buckeye. Funeral service is Thursday, July 31, 2 p.m. at Lantz Funeral Home with Rev. David Rittenhouse officiating. Interment will be in the Mountain View Cemetery.
