Shannon Vaughn Saffer, age 29, of Ravenswood, passed away Tuesday, January 5, 2016, at Jackson General Hospital in Ripley.
Born October 7, 1986, he was a son of Dede Parsons Saffer, of Ripley, and Martin V. Saffer, of Hillsboro.
Shannon lived most of his life in Pocahontas County, where he was happiest spending time with friends and music in the mountains he loved.
He had struggled with many health issues since he was in a debilitating car accident 10 years ago.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Harry and Betty Parsons and Charles and Elizabeth Saffer.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by two brothers, Charles Saffer, and family, of Charleston, and Patrick Saffer, of Ripley; and two uncles, Greg Parsons, and family, of Ripley, and Patrick Parsons, and family, of Charleston.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
