Scott Cassell

Scott Wilson Cassell, 58, of Boyer, left this life Saturday, January 25, 2025, at Nella’s Nursing Home in Elkins surrounded by his loving family and friends.

Scott spent his life as a devoted and loving son, husband, father, grandfather and friend. After graduating from Pocahontas County High School in 1985, he married the love of his life, Lacinda “Cindy” Lambert, in March 1987.

He worked many years at Interstate Hardwoods then worked five years at Schlumberger before returning to Interstate so he could spend time with his family. He loved to hunt, fish and trap and spend time with his family. He loved to cook on the grill and have cookouts with friends and family.

Scott was preceded in death by his father, Delnor Wilson Cassell; grandparents, Luther Cassell, Bertie McLaughlin Cassell, Theodore Blackhurst, Doris Robertson Blackhurst, and Thel- ma and Leon Judy; and grandson, Coalton Lee Cassell.

He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Lacinda “Cindy” Cassell, of Boyer; son, Dustin Cassell, and wife, Chrissa, of Boyer; daughter, Tiffany Dickenson, and husband, Tommy, of Green Bank; mother, Rebecca Judy, and husband, Joseph Judy, of Mill Creek; brothers, Jeff Cassell, and wife, Jessica, of Mill Creek, Doug Cassell, and wife, Jennifer, of LaPorte, Indiana, Charlie Judy, and wife, Brittany, of Crestwood, Kentucky; sister, Della Sayre, and husband, Erick, of Charleston; brother, Joey Judy, and partner, Della, of Bartow; sister, Lori Burnside, and husband, Eddie, of Elkins; grandchildren, Arianna “AJ” Cassell, Elizabeth Dickenson, Hunter Cassell, Calab Dickenson and Caylin Cassell; and other children and grandchildren whom he thought of as his own.

Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, February 1, 2025, at the Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home in Arbovale with Pastor David Rittenhouse officiating.

Burial will follow at Arbovale Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Friday, January 31, 2025, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home in Arbovale
