Ruth Hill Wright, age 98, formerly of Bendersville, Pennsylvania, passed away Saturday, June 13, 2015, at Brethren Home in New Oxford, Pennsylvania.
Born Saturday, April 7, 1917, at Lobelia, she was a daughter of the late Ellwood E. and Ruby L. Alderman Hill.
Ruth was a homemaker most of her life. She was employed seasonally for many years at C. H. Musselman in Biglerville, Pennsylvania.
She was a founding member of Centenary United Methodist Church in Biglerville, Pennsylvania.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thurman W. Wright, who passed away in 2004; two sisters, Dorothy Terlizzi and Mary Ionescu; and five brothers, Lorraine Hill, Joel Hill, Paul Hill, Ward Hill and Mearl Hill.
She is survived by her daughter, Nancy C. Anlage, of Mobile, Alabama; three sons, Harold Wright, of Hanover, Pennsylvania, Donald Wright, of Atlanta, Georgia, and Gary L. Wright, of Dover, Pennsylvania; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; two sisters, Madeline Smith, of Littlestown, Pennsylvania, and Betty Ramsey, of North Carolina; and a brother, Melvin Hill, of Baltimore, Maryland.
Funeral service was June 18 at Dugan Funeral Home in Bendersville, Pennsylvania, with Rev. Gary Fanus officiating. Interment was in Biglerville Cemetery.
