Ruth Elaine Starks King, age 75, of Hillsboro, died Thursday, October 22, 2015, at her home.
Born October 20, 1940, at Marlinton, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Mary Boblett Starks.
Ruth was a homemaker and attended the Church of Christ.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene King; two great-grandchildren; and a niece.
She is survived by her daughter, Miriam Ketchum, and husband, Rob, of Marlinton; sisters, Elizabeth Dalton, of Ohio, and Nancy Young, and husband, Allen, of Natural Bridge, Virginia; a brother, Edgar Starks, and wife, Doris, of Hillsboro; grandchildren, Michael King and Jason Barrett, and wife, Brea; a great-granddaughter, Phoenix Barrett; a sister-in-law, Shirley Scott; close friends, Donna, Mary, Jim and Sarah; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service was October 25 at Oak Grove Presbyterian Church with Jeff Banton and Kenneth McLaughlin officiating. Interment was in Oak Grove Cemetery in Hillsboro.
