Ronald Warner

Ronald Eugene Warner, age 78, of Durbin, departed this life Tuesday, April 14, 2015, at his home, surrounded by loved ones.

Born December 13, 1936, at Hunting Ground in Pendleton County, he was a son of the late Owen “Budsaw” and Peachie Warner.

Ronald was a lifelong farmer and enjoyed spending time on his farm whether he was working, taking friends for a ride or having picnics. He owned and operated his own trucking and logging company for more than 35 years.

Bear hunting with hounds was a passion Ronald shared with his father, brother, sons, grandchildren and many friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Faye Rosencrance.

He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Wilma L. Rexrode Warner; three children, Ronald E. Warner, Jr., and wife, Rose, of Durbin, Cindy L. Birchfield, and husband, David, of Danville, and James D. Warner, and wife, Lori, of Green Bank; eight grandchildren, Wesley E. Lambert, Joshua L. Lambert, Dustin G. Reynolds, Tara E. Warner, Diana L. Birchfield, Brooke A. Vandevander, Derek N. Taylor and Morgan N. Bryant; six great-grandchildren, Canden Lambert, Dillon Vandevander, Makayla Vandevander, Mackenzie Taylor, Griffin Taylor and Jase Bryant; a brother, Jimmie D. Warner, and wife, Jill, of Riverton; and three sisters, Lyda Armstrong, and husband, Raymond, of Culloden, Frances Morgan, and husband, Robert, of Harrisonburg, Virginia, and Jerri Sipes, and husband, Harry, of Bartow.

Funeral service was April 17 at Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home in Arbovale with Rev. David Rittenhouse officiating. Interment was in the Beverage/Warner Cemetery in Durbin.
