Ronald Lee “Ronnie” Rose, 59, of Buckeye, passed away Saturday, December 9, 2023, at Cortland Acres in Thomas.

Born April 3, 1964, in Marlinton, he was a son of the late Donald L. “Pete” and Virginia “Joyce” Jackson Rose.

Ronnie was a proud graduate of Pocahontas County High School, Class of 1983.

Prior to his illness, Ronnie had worked for Hanover Shoe in Marlinton; and in the Lawn and Garden Center at Walmart in Lewisburg. He will be remembered as a “gentle giant” who made a friend of anyone he met.

Ronnie loved the Pittsburgh Steelers, WVU Mountaineers, WWE wrestling, hunting and fishing, and he dearly loved his family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jeffrey C. Jackson.

He is survived by his brothers, Donald L. Rose, Jr., and wife, BJ, of Sandstone, and John A. Rose, and wife, Mary Ann, of Oakland, Maryland; three nieces and a nephew, Tiffani Jackson, and fiancé, Steven Rodoussakis, Aaron Jackson, Lillia Rose and Brooke Rose; several great-nieces-and-nephews; and a sister-in-law, Jane Jackson.

A Memorial/Celebration of Life will be held at the Pocahontas County Opera House Friday, August 2, 2024, from 4 to 7 p.m.

Memorials may be made to Marlinton Fire-Rescue, 709 Second Avenue, Marlinton, WV 24954.

The C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., in Oakland, Maryland, is honored to be assisting the Rose family.
