Allie G. (Mrs. Forrest) Gibson, of Slaty Fork, is standing on the left in period dress. She represented Pocahontas County at the 1963 West Virginia State Folk Festival in Glenville, West Virginia. Each county selects a Belle – a woman from the community who embodies the spirit of their area and that of a pioneer woman – and she will represent the county at the annual festival held in Gilmer County. Mrs. Gibson was sponsored by the Seneca Trail Home Demonstration Club. Mrs. Bud Moore, of Glenville, Gilmer County is standing on the right.
