“School in Session” is the title of this photograph taken by Lewis Wickes Hine on October 6, 1921. The classroom is in the Sunset School located on Rt. 92, three miles north of Minnehaha Springs. The school was opened at least by 1892 and closed in 1933. The original photo and negative are housed at the Library of Congress.
