Three unidentified children are standing beside the Huntersville School in this photo taken in the early 1920s. This building, with grades one through three on the first floor and grades four through six on the second floor, was in use until 1968. When it closed, it was the last of the one and two room schools in Pocahontas County. It has since been restored and is open to the public for tours during Huntersville Traditions Day.
