This early scene of Cass shows the train depot at the right and some of the first houses built on the hill. The Pocahontas Supply Company Store is the feature of the photo and looks quite different from the Company Store building that is still in use today. Dry goods are visible on the loading dock. The business to the left of the Company Store is the Meat Market. Wish I could make out the name on the sign. I’m certain that someone knows the name of the proprietor. Pocahontas Co.
